About Me

I’m a musician, composer and student from Hopkins, MN. I play piano and percussion.

I began studying jazz piano at age fourteen and pursued it as a major at Lawrence University from 2021-25, graduating with a Bachelor of Musical Arts degree. At Lawrence I participated in small and large group jazz ensembles, percussion groups, and improvisation groups. During my time in these ensembles, I performed at the Manhattan School of Music and won a Downbeat award for ‘Best Latin Jazz Ensemble.’ I was lucky enough to take lessons from the jazz faculty (Bill Carrothers, José Encarnacion, Matt Turner, Patty Darling, Greg Riss) at Lawrence for all four years.

I am now a graduate student at Mankato State University in MN studying school counseling. Aside from music, I love reading and spending time outdoors. You can find me outside anytime there’s a thunderstorm.
